The Exeter Arms in Helpston is a 16th Century building that originated as the villages court house then became an Inn that was part of the old ‘mail’ run. The poet John Claire was laid to rest here when he died, as part of it was used as a morgue.

Opening hours Mon – Thurs 12 – 2:30 and 5 – 11 and Fri – Sun open all day from 12.

The restaurant is now open serving food from Tuesdays – Sunday. All meals are ‘home cooked’ and value for money and we have three ‘Real Ales’ available for the customers to try. We also serve ‘Sunday Roasts’ for £7.95. Seniors have a 20% reduction to the menu at lunchtimes from Tue – Fri.

A converted Barn in the grounds with a marquee attached to the side to increase the size is used as a function room. It is great place for a party or christening!

We have a ‘pets corner’ with ducks, , chickens, peacocks, guinea pigs and rabbits. Great for the kids!!

Large beer garden with b-b-q area.

Family run pub with the emphasis on ‘Country Faire’ food.

All welcome.
